I’m A Mess Video Explanation :P

Warning! This video is like, violent and really, really WEIRD.

Okay, this might take a while. [Backstory...ish.]

So, we all know the first two guys that come on screen. Fido Monroe and Adrian Monroe. They live different lives, one’s the Deputy Head Auror in Ireland, and one’s a Death Eater in England (yes, IS, not was).

The Monroe kids went through a basic hell when they were raised. Fido grew up on the notion that he’d killed his mother when she was shot in the chest in a raid gone wrong. When Fido and his siblings were growing up, their father took a lot of his rage out on Fids, and he took it instead of letting his younger brothers go through the pain.

When Fido turned fifteen, he stole away with his little pack of followers to the small holes in Dublin. They basically… grew up with themselves, though (unknown to the other brothers), Fido was actually still in touch with their father who only promised to call off his hunt for them if… Fido became a Death Eater. Thus, good guy turns into everything he…doesn’t like that much.

Meeting Selene, getting married, having Forest, and the brush with the vampires all happened between training and leaving his siblings to Adrian, who would then become the stand-in fatherly figure. (Though not really because Fido was the pwner of this category.)

Fast-Forward a bit. Selene has died, Fido lives alone with his son in Ireland, and basically adapts to a completely apathetic lifestyle. He has no lust for life, a trait now associated with the Monroe’s, except for protecting his family and giving his son a better life. He rejects change as much as possible, not thinking he would be strong enough to handle it.

Then, he falls in love. Which, by the way? Is a hell of a lot of change. Not only does he fall in love, Forest, his son, becomes attached to this person that stands in as a best friend. When that situation fails, it shocks Fido into realizing change is exactly what he needs, because he can’t go back to the way things had been before.

-Intro to characters, (walking/standing) is Forest/Dean, and then Fido, Adrian, & we begin. Fido is a Death Eater, though he doesn’t try to do much. He’s trying to remain upright and jovial when things are just…not. Forest/Dean are up to no good, they’ve discovered spells and rituals they want to figure out and while Dean seems apprehensive, Forest is steadily becoming obsessive.

Flying through the window at about 0:25 is Dorien, who lives his life for fun and games. After a bar fight that, obviously, sends him through a window and paralyzes him for a year, he gives up on that kind of lifestyle and starts looking for a better way to live.

Adrian’s been starting a lot of trouble, they’ve all got this sort of mixed up rage thing that none of them really know how to handle, but Adrian just gets high off of pain, and therefore starts roaming the muggle world looking for it.

The Fido scene that plays out begins with him and a woman in England, which leads him into a memory (sorry, I forgot to grey it out!), of when he was younger and he’d met Selene.

I’m going to freak y’all out by saying the stuff happening with the gun at 0:45 is Forest and Dean. He’s become increasingly infatuated with the spells and Dean was getting scared. He tried to scare Forest out of it, but Forest pulls the trigger himself, and it’s only blanks.

Adrian finally wants to pull himself out of what he’d started, but no one wants to let go of him and therefore he calls on Fido to help…

Enter Alex, who, after leaving the Monroe clan when he turned seventeen, went to Rome. Alex has gotten himself in a lot of trouble with the werewolf community (the random guy with the freaky eyes = werewolf).

With all these problems surfacing, Fido is reminded of when he’d been kidnapped. (Forgot to greyscale, again.) To his captors, his life was valueless, and after a small struggle, he didn’t even feel to fight much more. A stranger saved his life, and he was reminded that he indeed had reason to live. Family. And the stranger is still a stranger to this day, but he is constantly reminded of this, and believes he was meant to live for a reason.

Dean is figuring out how to stop what he and Forest have started, though Forest knows Dean’s beginning to back out. He stands holding the book and Dean leaves, Forest becomes irritated and threatens Dean.

Adrian had met a muggle woman with whom he’d fallen in love with before he left Dublin. Upon his return to Dublin to collect his things to move back in with Fido, he finds her body and yet, doesn’t fall apart. He figures out that this was due to the fact that he’d become apathetic, and actually didn’t love her. He wants to find his humanity again.

At 1:52 , Fido’s holding the note that his saviour had given him. A mere parchment stating, “Love is the key to life.” There was no other markings on it.

Forest, in the meanwhile (because him and his father had begun to grow farther apart), was getting in even *more* trouble, and he and Dean fight. Forest eventually takes away everything they’d gathered and hides it away. (Though not before looking at it once more.)

Dorien, the youngest, had adapted wholeheartedly to a muggle lifestyle. It was his idea of an escape. He screwed up with the bar fight, but promised he’d stay safe. Recently, though, he’d gotten into another accident, and the Monroe brothers wanted him to stop, therefore Adrian called him back to Ireland to live permanently, and to attempt an assimilation back into the wizarding world.

2:24 – meet Shane. Her past is a secret, so I’m not saying much. Fido saved *her*, and so she lives with them attempting to fill in stuff that she’s missed out on, and fixing whatever she can. This includes whacking Fido constantly whenever she thinks he’s becoming too down, or thinks for even a second about the Death Eater business.

Adrian is now living in the far country with Fido and company, falls in love with someone that helps him regain his lost humanity. (Fido is pretending he isn’t noticing this…)

Forest attempts to fix his friendship with Dean.

And… the entire Monroe clan is going to be living together again. :)

Lessons Learned:

Fido has a thing for Masks/Masquerades, therefore he has decided to throw a masquerade ball in his house.
Forest needs someone to rely on otherwise he’s going to go off the line.
I’m thinking some sort of insane-disorder runs in this family.
The Monroe’s really like pain. Or just risky business. :P
Adrian wears glasses and isn’t as innocent as he seems.
Shane has an insanely messed up past, and it’s easy to see why Fido and her connected.
Fido has scars on his back.
I need to figure out this saviour guy. I owe him one.
Fido hates rubics cubes but Adrian can solve them in less than a minute.
Every single Monroe has a death wish. And I honestly don’t even know Ania yet.
Adrian and Forest both like guns.
Alex can draw, mostly comics, and has a thing for the supernatural. [Vampires/Werewolves]
Fido is more athletic and parental, Adrian is slightly geeky and idk, Alex is artsy and strange, Dorien is athletic and risky, Forest is curious and risky and dorky…
Love can apparently save your life. Unless it’s avoiding you.
Love lost is, I *think* the only thing Fido has ever shed a tear on. Ever.
I hate making videos. And I suck. The end!
